The One I Wrote for You

The one I wrote for you
The one you tore apart
The one I wrote for you
The one you flew away
The one I wrote for you
The one you crumpled up

The one I wrote again
The one that you just put down
The one I wrote again
The one that you just glanced through
The one that I wrote again
The one that you actually read twice

The one I wrote from heart
The one you felt with yours
The one I wrote from heart
The one that made you smile
The one I wrote from heart
The one that fell your tears

But the one that made you weep
The one not written by me,
The one not written again,
The one not written from heart
The one announcing end,
The one declaring death……….
Makes you wish that I will write again
That I will write from heart
And that I will write for you
So that you will tear again,
So that you will fly the bits,
So that you will crumple it up,
And this time you will surely write back

Where have all the colours gone?

Where have all the colours gone?
The black, the brown, the navy ones?
The colours that made the sun go dull…..
The colours that made the wind go lull ……
The colours that would make me cry …….
The colours that always questioned why …….

You stole those colours dark and gray ……
And promised to help me make hay ………..

Promised to bring in hues so gay….
That will lighten up my room as a day in May ……
The colours stolen,
The promises broken,
The May sun sunk far below the horizon,
As I now lie in my bed numb and frozen,

I still think …………….

Where have all the colours gone?
The black, the brown, the navy ones?
They were morbid, they were dark …………..
But they were ones I could never lack.

translation

In the quiet secret corner of my heart,
You sleep alone my lord;
Awake O Lord, my heart beckons.

I wait outside the bolted door,
How long O Father, the doomed implores.
Awake O Lord, my heart beckons.

The stars have lit up the evening sky,
Their anticipation shows in their eyes
Awake O Lord, my heart beckons.

Fill my life with music O Friend,
String my veena with your tunes afresh.
Awake O Lord, my heart beckons.

I wish to be within your reach,
I crave for your touch.
Awake O Lord my heart beckons

Thus will find my heart peace abounds,
Thus will find my eyes radiance around;
Awake Good Lord my heart beckons.

Falling Leaves

The small bus-station, awaiting the bus
Together us, after so many downs and ups,
Recalling our time thus,
As the falling leaves surround,
In hundreds and thousands;
Stripping the tree almost bare .......

But look it is not all over,
There are branches still tender,
New leaves will they bear afresh,
New flowers will the tree adorn again,
And thus new roads shall once more we trail.
